Scott Antique Market (Atlanta Expo Center North)
The North Building generally has more upscale, true antiques. The South Building has more of a high-end flea market look and feel. I had heard so much about this monthly show, that I finally inveigled my sister, a fellow antique lover to join me for a browsing escapade. What a day it was We never even made it into the second building, given how fascinated we were by what we were seeing.
We had highly engaging conversations with many vendors, who gladly satisfied our curiosity about their pieces, even when they knew we were not planning to buy what they had. Now reality check: there are items ranging from a few dollars all the way up into the many thousands Also, there are items you might not think of for "specialty" collectors religious items, French tapestry pieces , art and jewelry as well.
When looking for something specific, ask around. Some vendors will recommend others who may have what you are looking for, since the "regulars" for whom this is a standing gig come to know each other. We were able to grab lunch right there as well, which was very convenient. So, if you are in the least interested, wear comfy shoes and pace yourself, there is a whole lot to see and enjoy. We like the vendors on the outside as we tend to lean toward primitive and arts and crafts, although the inside is great.
Highly recommend! Jessica went out of her way to make sure our Treasure Hunting group had accommodations! We started the AM off on the south side with the breakfast in the food court. It was fantastic. Then we took the bus to the North-side and did more Treasure Hunting with a happy ending and good food on the North side. Everyone in our group left with great treasures! We plan to do it again very soon! My suggestion is to go early on a Friday or Saturday to get a convenient parking spot.

If the weather is hot, I would start off exploring the outside vendors at the South Building, and then move inside when it gets too hot. The outdoor area at the South building also has another building stuffed with old tools, channel letters, machinery and widgets and is probably the area that guys would probably enjoy the most.
This place is just plain fun. There is everything from jewelry, books, furniture, clothing, antique clothing, cowboy boots, mink coats, original art, fine art, yard art, silverware, pottery to some serious collector items.

You name it, and you will probably find it. I usually meander systematically back and forth through the aisles, checking out sections on both sides of the aisles at a time. There is so much to see that it can literally be overwhelming to someone going for their first time. Wear comfortable shoes and take cash.
You would probably have a bit more haggling power on a Sunday when vendors are packing up their booths. The South building has an eating area that is really good and offers a lot of variation. There is something for everyone and some great choices.
I love their cooked chicken and I pair it with a Greek salad that comes with pita bread. The North building also has some food kiosks, some great ice cream and a booth where you can get fresh fried mini donuts dribbled with sugar or chocolate, but the choices for food are better at the South building.
I would not recommend this place for children, who would get bored to tears, or possibly break something, or for older people who are unable to do a lot of walking on hard surfaces. There is a neat little barista coffee shop in the left side, back of the South? I can't remember, if its in the South or North building, but look for it. Great selection of antiques at a variety of price points from low to high. Many beautiful, unique things, We arrived right at opening time on Thursday, and many of the vendors were still setting up, so you might not need to be there the moment it opens on the first day.
Took us about half a day to see both buildings and the outdoor stalls. We were thrilled to see and speak briefly with Mr. Furlow Gatewood whose homes are depicted in the recent glossy coffee table book by Julia Reed titled "One Man's Folly". Gatewood appeared to be on the hunt and was buying.
